Mission Statement:

The goal of Code Enforcement is to eliminate environments that create or support public health or safety hazards as well as promote a minimum standard of living throughout Yuba County while pursuing voluntary compliance with State and Local Code. In addition, we attempt to preserve a minimum standard of community living by battling blight and public nuisance conditions. Our desire is that property values maintain or increase generating continued County growth. Moreover, we hope that our efforts will enhance the enjoyment of people who live, work and visit within our communities.

It is the intent of the Board to provide a comprehensive method for the Code Enforcement Division to identify and abate public nuisances within the unincorporated area of the County. The further purpose  is to remove conditions of the property  that are declared to be public nuisances which have a blighting influence on properties in the vicinity and/or are detrimental to the health, safety and/or welfare of residents of the County and particularly residents of the urbanized areas of and entry points into the County. It is the supplementary purpose of this Chapter to implement a program of enforcement of Yuba County's zoning, building, sanitation and other ordinances contained in this Code.

2.  Plot Plan that illustrates, at a minimum, building location of the parcel and distances to other buildings, property lines, septic system and well, if any.

Additional information may be required and will be collected during plans submittal.

If you have a building(s) / accessory structures that was built without permits or a building(s) / accessory structures that may have been exempt from building permits, you can come to the Building Department for instructions on how to obtain a building permit and approvals.
