Mission Statement:
The goal of Code Enforcement is to eliminate environments
that create or support public health or safety hazards as well as promote a
minimum standard of living throughout Yuba County w
hile
pursuing voluntary compliance with
State and Local Code. In addition, we
attempt to preserve a minimum standard of community living by battling
blight and public nuisance conditions. Our desire is that property values
maintain or increase generating continued County growth. Moreover, we hope
that our efforts will enhance the enjoyment of people who live, work and
visit within our communities.
Purpose:
It is the intent of the
Board to provide a comprehensive
method for the Code Enforcement Division to identify and abate
public nuisances within the
unincorporated area of the County. The further purpose is to
remove conditions of the property that are declared to be public
nuisances which have a blighting influence on properties in the vicinity
and/or are detrimental to the health, safety and/or welfare of residents of
the County and particularly residents of the urbanized areas of and entry
points into the County. It is the supplementary purpose of this Chapter to
implement a program of enforcement of Yuba County's zoning, building,
sanitation and other
ordinances contained in this Code.
