Olivehurst Sustainable Community & Economic Revitalization Plan

The Yuba County Planning Department was awarded a $191,000 Environmental Justice grant from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to prepare a comprehensive revitalization plan for Olivehurst Avenue and the surrounding neighborhood.  The project will expand on the existing Olivehurst Avenue Specific Plan to address infrastructure, housing, economic development, and multi-modal transportation issues both within the Specific Plan boundary and surrounding neighborhood.  The Plan will include development standards for commercial, mixed-use, and residential areas that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the Olivehurst Community while striving to improve the overall quality of life of its residents.  Components of the project will include mechanisms for streamlining the Design Review process for developments within the Specific Plan area as well as concept plans to help encourage redevelopment of vacant and underutilized properties.
