Accreditation:  All college and/or university course work, diplomas, and/or degrees must be from an accredited college or university. To obtain information regarding accreditation, refer to the US Department of Education Office of Post Secondary Education at:


Foreign Degrees:  Candidates who possess a degree from a college or university that is accredited by a foreign or non-U.S. accrediting agency must have their educational units evaluated by an accredited college or institution in the United States, and attach the necessary documentation. For further information and a list of Agencies Approved by the Commission for Foreign Transcription Evaluation, refer to the State of California, California Commission on Teacher Credentialing at


Veteran's Preference Points: Candidates who have prior military service time may be eligible for additional ranking credits, i.e. veteran's preference points, by attaching their DD214 to their Yuba County Official Application.
