General Liability and Loss Prevention
 Human Resources is tasked with mitigating risks and exposures to protect County assets, and procuring appropriate types and levels of insurance. This is accomplished by reviewing contracts for the appropriate risk and insurance language, researching and procuring the appropriate levels of insurance coverage, investigating liability claims, and monitoring and reporting insurance fund performance. In addition, Human Resources engages in loss prevention practices through various related safety programs, training, and monitoring of County policies and procedures to reflect the best practices.

Individuals who have a claim against the County are required to complete the Liability Claim Form and submit it to the Board of Supervisors.
