Hal was elected to the Yuba County Board of
Supervisors in 1994 and took office January 3, 1995 and was re-elected in 1998,
2002, 2006, and 2010. Hal served as Chairman in 1997, 2001 and 2007.
Hal represents the County in his capacity as
Supervisor on the following:
- Area 4 Agency on Aging Governing Board (Alternate)
- Emergency Medical Care (Alternate)
- Human Services Committee (Alternate)
- Law and Justice Committee (Alternate)
- Sierra-Sacramento Valley Emergency Medical Services (Alternate)
- Wheatland City/County Liaison Committee (Alternate)
- Yuba Sutter Arts Council (Alternate)
- Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors

- Yuba County Disaster Council
- Yuba County Housing Authority
- Yuba County In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority
- Yuba County Public Facilities Corporation
- Yuba County Redevelopment Agency
- Yuba County Water Agency Board of Directors
Hal and Leah have been married 39 years and have
resided in Challenge for over 20 years. His vita includes:
