Poll Worker Information

 

Poll Workers:

“Get paid for doing your civic duty.”

 

Requirements:

• Be a registered voter in Yuba County, a Yuba County employee, or a high school student in a sponsored high school poll worker program.
• Attend training class.
• Must be able to work from 6:00 a.m. until approximately 9:30 p.m.

 

Position Duties & Pay:

Inspector

  • Pay - $90/day

  • Supervises polling place operations

  • Attends training class

  • Picks up supplies

  • Sets up/takes down polling place

  • Delivers supplies to an assigned Return Center.

 

Clerk

  • Pay - $75/day

  • Assists Inspector

  • May accompany Inspector to Return Center.

ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS: California law allows high school seniors to work as election officers on election day. You must be at least 16 years of age, a United States citizen, and a student in good standing with your school earning at least a 2.5 grade point average on a scale of 4.0.
