| The Community Development Block Grant Program is
a Housing Rehabilitation program for Low-Income residents of
Yuba County. The Federal Housing and Community Development Act of
1974 created the
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program that is today
administered by the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The program provides low-interest
loans and grants to homeowners living in single-family homes. The
loans are designed to fit the needs of the homeowners, with
repayment depending upon income, and the ability to pay. The loans may be
established on the basis of principle and interest or interest only.
Rehabilitation can include the following types
of issues.
Special attention is given to items that are
Health and Safety issues, Handicap Accessibility Issues and
Building Code Issues.

You May Qualify If ...
- You are a homeowner.
- Your family income from all sources does not exceed local
guidelines
- You own rental property and tenants are income eligible
- Your home or rental is located within Linda or Olivehurst (funds
sometimes available in other areas of Yuba County)

- Roof, foundation and structural repairs
- Plumbing and electrical repairs
- Heating and cooling systems
- Flooring
- Handicap modifications
- New windows and insulation
- Kitchen and bathroom repairs
Types of Financing Are...
- No Application or construction fees, all escrow/loan fees are
paid from the loan - not out of your pocket
- 3% or 5% interest rate loans with monthly payments to fit your
budget
- Deferred payment loans for eligible seniors.

New Construction
Fences, landscaping or detached structures
Unnecessary upgrading or remodeling
Luxury items

2. Property Eligibility
The property must be located within the boundaries of the target area,
which includes most of the communities of Linda, Olivehurst and Plumas
Lake.
At times, funding is available for other areas of Yuba County.
