IMPORTANT INFORMATION

 

2009-2010 Annual Secured Property Tax Bills have been mailed out and are now due and payable.

 

First installments are due no later than Thursday, 12/10/2009.  Payments must be paid or postmarked at any US Post Office by the due date to avoid a ten percent (10%) late payment penalty.

 

Second installments are due and payable without penalty no later than Monday, 4/12/2010.  If paid after 4/12/2010 and before 6/30/2010, a ten (10%) percent penalty plus a $20.00 cost applies.  If paid after 6/30/2010 additional penalties will apply.

 

 All late post marks will be subject to the penalty amount due.

Convenience Fees

The Treasurer & Tax Collector's office does not charge a fee to handle electronic transactions. However, the vendor processing the online payments assesses the following convenience fees:

E-check payments ~ $3.00 flat fee for up to 10 assessments processed at the same time

Credit Card Payments ~ 2.5% of the total tax bill.

 

 

Mission Statement:

To provide for (1) the centralized management of banking, investment, disbursement and accounting of public funds; (2) the distribution and collection of combined tax bills for all local agencies and collection of secured, unsecured, supplemental and delinquent taxes; and (3) the discovery and collection of license fees.


Description of Major Activities:

1. Investment of idle funds.
2. Collection of secured, unsecured, supplemental and delinquent property taxes.
3. Accounting for all funds of public entities in the County.
4. Discovery and collection of all business licenses.
