Secured Property Tax Bills

Annual property bills to be mailed out prior to Saturday, November 1, 2014.  If you receive an actual bill and have an impound or escrow account that your lender pays your property taxes on your behalf, please contact your lender / mortgage company directly to verify that payment will be made on your behalf.

1st installment is due November 1, 2014 and delinquent after Wednesday, December 10, 2014.

2nd installment is due February 1, 2015 and delinquent after Friday, April 10, 2015.

Should current year taxes not be paid by 6/30/2015, additional redemption penalties of 1 1/2% per month plus a $15.00 redemption fee will apply the first of every month thereafter.

Envelopes post marked by the United States Post Office on or before the delinquent dates will be accepted as timely.  Post marks are carefully reviewed; to be sure that the post mark is legible and clearly reads on or before the due date, have the Post Office hand cancel your envelope.

Appropriate penalties will apply after each installment as provided on the tax bill.

Payments made by check, draft or money orders -

Please assure yourself that the payment will be honored. Returned checks, drafts or money orders will be subject to a return paper cost. The cost may be added to your tax bill.

Payments made by checks will be converted into an electronic format, which could create an electronic fund transfer that potentially could be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day that payment is made.

Additional payment information -

When making payment in person, please bring the ENTIRE tax bill, with payment stubs intact, for proper validation and receipt.

If you do not have your bill, a duplicate bill fee of $1.50 will apply if a receipt is requested.

If you choose to mail the payment in and a receipt is desired, send in the entire bill with your payment stubs intact and a self-addressed stamped return envelope along with your payment.

Payments made by electronic Funds Transfer -

Notice of Required Payment of Property Taxes by electronic funds transfer whose aggregate tax payment

equals or exceeds $50,000.00.       (CA Revenue & Taxation Code §2503.2)

For those individuals and or companies that have been identified and noticed that their payments of property taxes must be remitted by electronic funds transfer  (EFT).

Installment payments must be received on or before December 10 for the first and on or before April 10th for the second installment to avoid penalties and costs.

To ensure property credit to your parcel(s), the appropriate payment stubs must be sent to our office  five (5) business days prior to the date that the EFT payment is being made.

Please contact the Yuba County Tax Collector's office to receive the ACH or wire instructions to process your EFT payment.

IMPORTANT:  Payments that are received without the proper notification and/or payment stub(s) will not e applied until that information is received. If the information is received after the delinquent date, appropriate penalties and cost will be applied.  .
